The Bacon’s Rebellion Theatre is an immersive 124-seat theater experience that brings to life the story of the 1676 armed rebellion of Virginia colonists led by Nathaniel Bacon against the rule of Governor William Berkeley. Debuted in September 2019, the theater uses multimedia screens combined with multi-sensory special effects to create a deeply engaging and educational visitor experience.
Technifex supplied and installed a suite of special effects that heighten the realism and immersion of the story.

The use of these effects allows visitors to not only see the historical narrative but also feel and sense the atmosphere of rebellion, danger, and urgency, making for a memorable and impactful museum experience.
