Technifex Produces New Attraction For
Noah’s Ark at Wisconsin Dells

June 1, 2003 (Valencia, California) Technifex is the Show Producer for the Noah's Incredible Adventure, a new attraction which opens at the Noah’s Ark Family Park at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin on June 1, 2003.

The attraction combines detailed theming, a simulated elevator ride and Mack Mystery Swing to create a fun-filled experience that takes guests on a wild journey back to the days of Noah and the Great Flood. In addition to designing and building the special effects, as Show Producer, Technifex brought together the creative team to handle the theming. Two companies instrumental in the overall look of the project are Virtual Terrain and Scenery West. Virtual Terrain designed the lighting. Scenery West designed and built the scenic elements.

Technifex also designed and built the Evolator, a simulated elevator that takes the guests "thousands of feet" down through the Earth’s crust to reach Noah’s planning room. This custom designed ride is 17-feet high and is powered by a pneumatic system. It’s over 30-feet in diameter and accommodates 60 passengers on each "trip." Technifex added sounds of heavy rain and thunder, and flashes of lightning on the rock walls of the elevator shaft (visible through windows in the Evolator) to signal the onslaught of the Great Flood and further enhance the guest experience.

Guests step from the Evolator into Noah’s planning room. Its rough hewn rock walls, and murals depicting Noah’s designs for the Ark suggest an archaeological dig. From there, passengers enter the Ark to ride out the storm. The Ark is a Mack Mystery Swing with theming by Scenery West.
